Stewardship

Commercial resolve. Responsible judgement.

Your patents have a commercial value. Your reputation and business relationships matter too. Our approach takes all of these interests seriously.

Four principles

What guides our work

Fair proposals, pursued with conviction

We approach prospective licensees with evidence and a reasoned commercial proposal. Our objective is a negotiated agreement. Where enforcement is needed, we are prepared to pursue it through specialist counsel within the scope agreed with the patent owner.

Your interests shape the approach

Existing licences, customer relationships and ongoing use of the technology help define the project. We agree which rights are involved and how the market will be approached before engagement begins.

Every step needs a commercial purpose

The work must remain proportionate to the opportunity. We keep costs, timing and the prospective outcome in view, reviewing whether further action is justified as the project develops. Where standard-essential patents are involved, applicable FRAND commitments inform the licensing approach.

A partner you can speak to in confidence

Discretion starts with the first conversation. We agree how sensitive information is shared and involve specialist partners within the agreed scope.
